May Team Player Highlight

May is Military Appreciation Month and what better way to honor our Veterans than to celebrate one of our own. It is with great privilege to highlight this month’s Team Player, Leon Creech.

From an early age, Leon has always had a desire to cover great distances….whether it was being a distance runner in high school, flying the skies in the United States Air Force, or driving countless miles within his trucking career. Leon exemplifies a strong drive to succeed and dedication in all that he does.

At Storey, we have a deep appreciation and gratitude for all of those that have fought, served, and sacrificed for our freedom. Leon had the honor of serving under a 4 Star General with two Medal of Honors during his service with the United States Air Force.

In addition to serving our country, Leon is an experienced and valued veteran in the trucking industry. Starting his career in 1995 and joining the Storey family in 2018.

During his time with Storey, Leon was diagnosed with lung cancer but credits his faith and God to giving him the strength to beat it. While undergoing cancer treatments, Leon’s fighting spirit never stopped...he continued to work locally and has been in full force since he was cleared by his doctor.

Through Leon, we have learned that our struggles do not define us but how we choose to overcome them does. Leon’s dedication to his faith, country, family, and extended work-family has been an example to us all to never give up and our strength comes from within.
