January Team Player Highlight

When a driver chooses to come work for Storey, we always ask why they chose our company over another. One of the most frequent answers is that they wanted to be at a company that didn’t just treat them like another number in the system. The relationship between a new driver and our in-house staff typically is a natural, immediate connection when a driver comes in for orientation. Every driver that walks through that door is treated like an extension of our family. Like everything else this past year, with less face to face interaction, building this relationship has become more of a challenge. We have adapted though by implementing new processes and forms of communication, many thanks to recommendations from drivers. Now we truly appreciate and look forward to the long phone conversations, pictures from the road and text updates. Our drivers have been incredible with offering constructive feedback, suggestions and working together as a team to make the company, as a whole, power through.

One team in particular has been extra helpful with vocalizing new ideas and processes. Sally Swindle and Randy Thompson are highlighted as our Team Players this month. The duo just recently started driving for Storey but already have made an impact on updating processes and figuring out ways to overcome obstacles drivers face with minimal frustration. Their experience and can-do attitude makes them a strong team that is able to face difficult situations. They have the mindset of being able to solve problems before they even surface, which makes them incredibly efficient at their job. Swindle and Thompson have brought great quality and professionalism to the Storey team.

As Storey grows, we are amazed at the talent that we are able gain and continue to retain. Thank you to all of our drivers for your commitment and determination to make Storey succeed.
