Driver Qualifications:

At least 23 years of age, and no more than 65 pending health certificate by U.S DOT.
- A valid CDL. Your CDL must be from the state that you declare as your place of permanent residence.
- Minimum 2 years Over The Road (OTR) verifiable.
- No major violations with in last 3 years.(Note)
- Must provide work history (driving) for last 10 years, non driving work history for the past 3 years.
- Previous employers and references will be checked for the 3-year period.
- A stable work history and good references.
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Must be able to pass alcohol test
- Have a recent qualifying physical (Card and Long Form)
- No addictions to or use of Narcotics of any kind
- No drinking any form of alcohol while on duty, and must be within the D.O.T. guidelines for alcohol in your system.
- No alcohol or illegal drugs in or on company property or equipment.
- No radar detector in or on company property or equipment.
- Must be available for work when needed
- Must be willing to work under the directions of company dispatchers
- Must comply with the rules of the State and Federal D.O.T. and Storey Trucking Company
- No Abandoned Trucks at previous employers.
- No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last three years.(Note)
- No reckless driving convictions in the last three years.
- No license suspension for points in the last three years.
- No more than three moving violations during the last year.
- Must have no more than four moving violations and / or accidents during the last three years.

Criminal History:
No felony convictions within the last seven years. Convictions older than seven years will be considered on a case by case basis.
No Controlled substance events in past seven years.
Misdemeanors involving dishonesty, theft, or fraud are disqualifying events, other issues will be considered on a case by case basis.
No DWI, DUI, BAC, or Open Container convictions in the last three years Reduced charges from DWI (careless, reckless, imprudent, i.e.) will be examined closely.
Have not been incarcerated within last five years.

Major Violations:
- Leaving the scene of an accident .
- DUI or DWI.
- Hit and run.
- Reckless driving or conduct.
- Felony with vehicle.
- Racing or dragging.
- Excessive speed >15 miles over posted limit.
- Eluding Police.
- Passing a School bus.
- Allowing a person that is DUI, DWI, or unlicensed to drive.
- Driving with suspended, revoked or fraudulent license.
- Failure to report or making a false accident report. (Back)
Failed or refused alcohol / drug test
If you have failed or refused an alcohol/drug test from any previous employer, you must have written proof that you have met all recommended requirements by a Substance Abuse Professional before you can qualify for employment. (Back)
